राहुल गांधी के धरने पर बीजेपी सांसद रवि शंकर प्रसाद कहते हैं, "यह बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि विपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी अराजकता की राजनीति करते हैं। अभी वे बिना किसी इजाज़त या पहले से जानकारी दिए पार्लियामेंट स्ट्रीट पुलिस स्टेशन पर धरने पर बैठे हैं। पुलिस ने उन्हें बताया है कि जिस घटना का वे ज़िक्र कर रहे हैं, उस पर पहले ही FIR दर्ज हो चुकी है और उसकी जांच चल रही है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इसकी जांच के लिए एक हाई-पावर्ड कमेटी बनाई है। राहुल गांधी, क्या आप किसी भी कानून का सम्मान नहीं करना चाहते? हमें शक है और हमारा आरोप है कि कांग्रेस अब राष्ट्रगीत 'वंदे मातरम' पर अपने रुख की वजह से मुश्किल में फंसी हुई है।"
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad says, "It is very unfortunate that LoP Rahul Gandhi does politics of anarchy. Currently, he is sitting on dharna at Parliament Street PS without permission or prior information. The police have informed him that an FIR has already been registered on the incident he is quoting and it is being probed. The SC has formed a high-powered committee to probe into this. Rahul Gandhi, don't you want to respect any law? We suspect and allege that Congress is now stuck due to its stance on the national song Vande Mataram
